Canadian Masterworks Lead Heffel’s Spring Sales
Artnet News reported on 10 May 2026 that Heffel Fine Art Auction House will hold its Heffel Spring Auction in two live sessions on 21 May 2026, staged in Toronto and via Heffel’s Digital Saleroom. The sale is split between Post-War & Contemporary Art at 5 p.m. EDT and Old Master, Impressionist, & Modern Art at 7 p.m. EDT, spanning roughly three centuries of Canadian and international works. Heffel president David Heffel said the auction follows an anniversary season in which the house achieved a 100% sold result. Among highlighted lots is Alexander Colville’s "Cattle Show" (1955), estimated at CAD $700,000–$900,000.
