Frick Inks Three-Year Partnership with Louis Vuitton, with Support for Exhibitions and Free Fridays
The Frick Collection in New York announced a three-year partnership with Louis Vuitton to sponsor exhibitions, research, and public programming, including free-admission First Fridays. Louis Vuitton will be lead sponsor of “Siena: The Art of Bronze, 1450–1500” (opening this fall), “Painting with Fire: Susanne de Court and the Art of Enamel” (opening spring 2027), and an as-yet-unannounced exhibition focused on 19th-century paintings (opening late 2027). The partnership also funds a two-year Louis Vuitton Curatorial Research Associate position for Yifu Liu, who will study the Frick’s Asian porcelain holdings and court cultures of Louis XV and Louis XVI and China’s Qianlong Emperor. The collaboration launches with Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2027 show by Nicolas Ghesquière in the Frick’s first-floor galleries on May 20, requiring the museum to close for a few days to stage the event; the Louis Vuitton First Fridays run June 2026–May 2027 (5:30 p.m.–9 p.m., except January and September).
