German artist Anne Imhof to be subject of ‘ambitious’ Hong Kong solo exhibition
German artist Anne Imhof will have her first solo exhibition in Asia at Tai Kwun in Hong Kong, running from September 26, 2026 to January 3, 2027, according to The Art Newspaper. The presentation is described as an “ambitious” survey of key works alongside a new commission, combining performance, image, sound, and architecture in an immersive format. The exhibition will be overseen by independent curator Ying Kwok and curator/consultant Tiffany Leung. Imhof, 48, won the Golden Lion at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017 for Faust at the German Pavilion, with jury president Manuel Borja-Villel calling it “powerful and disturbing.”
