Guillaume Cerutti departs Christie's and other positions in Pinault’s companies

Guillaume Cerutti is leaving all roles across François Pinault’s companies, including the chairmanships of Christie’s and Stade Rennais, after previously being reported to be departing as president of the Pinault Collection, The Art Newspaper reports. Artémis, the Pinault family holding company, announced on March 27, 2026, that François-Henri Pinault will replace Cerutti as chair of Christie’s board, while François Pinault, 89, will resume as executive president of the Pinault Collection, which comprises more than 10,000 works and museums in Paris and Venice. Cerutti is expected to step down as chair of Stade Rennais at the end of the season in May 2026, after less than six months in the role. In a LinkedIn post, Cerutti cited “record-breaking sales” during his decade leading Christie’s, including the 2017 New York sale of “Salvator Mundi” and the 2021 Paul Allen Collection auction, and he noted record attendance for the Pinault Collection’s museums in 2025.
