Henry, artist Nancy Shaver’s collectibles shop in Hudson, New York, is closing after 30 years, with its final day set for July 15, ARTnews reports. The store functioned as an ongoing art project and “laboratory” for Shaver’s practice, with objects often moving between the shop and her sculptures, including her fabric-covered wooden-block wall works (“Blockers”), object-filled “Boxes,” and fabric-covered panels (“Spacers”). Shaver said the closure is driven by her landlord wanting the space back, and she is considering future pop-up versions of Henry, including one planned in California in November with Sam Parker.
