Nominees for the Turner Prize 2026 announced by Tate
Tate has announced the four nominees for the Turner Prize 2026: Simeon Barclay, Kira Freije, Marguerite Humeau, and Tanoa Sasraku. Their shortlisted work will be exhibited at the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (Mima) starting 26 September, and the winner will be revealed at a ceremony there on 10 December. The winner receives £25,000, while each of the three runners-up receives £10,000. Tate Britain director Alex Farquharson, chairing the jury, said the selection spans installation and performance with a strong emphasis on sculptural practice.
