Open Call: The 7th VH AWARD for Media Artists Engaged with the Context of Asia
Hyundai Motor Group has opened applications for the 7th VH AWARD, a program launched in 2016 to support emerging media artists whose work engages with the contexts of Asia through single-channel video proposals. Five finalists will receive increased production grants and join an expanded online residency developed with Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria, including masterclasses and workshops. A new “Honorary Mention” category will provide additional artists access to selected residency components, and in June 2027 one Grand Prix recipient will receive an extra $30,000 for future artistic endeavors. Applications are open through July 21, 2026, with commissioned works slated for presentation at venues and events including Hyundai Motor Group’s Vision Hall in Korea, HEK (House of Electronic Arts) in Switzerland, the Ars Electronica Festival in Austria, and Singapore Art Week 2028.
