Stockholm’s Moderna Museet Appoints Cédric Fauq as Curator of Contemporary International Art
Stockholm’s Moderna Museet has appointed Cédric Fauq as curator of contemporary international art, with his tenure beginning December 1. Fauq is currently chief curator and head of programs and collections at Capc Musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux and previously held curatorial roles at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo and Nottingham Contemporary. His recent projects include the group show “Blackground: murmures des mornes,” “Rammellzee Alphabeta Sigma (Side B),” and Trevor Yeung’s “Garden of the Nine Suns,” and he served on the Turner Prize jury in 2023 while teaching at HEAD in Geneva and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. The appointment follows Tone Hansen’s recent start as Moderna Museet director and comes after the museum merged earlier this year with ArkDes and the Public Art Agency Sweden to form a new collective institution.
