The Photography Show fair’s 45th edition explores medium’s full history from its origins to AI
The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (Aipad) opened the 45th edition of The Photography Show on April 22, 2026 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. The fair includes about 65 exhibitors in the main section and a new sector, Focal Point, with 13 solo presentations designed by Oficina.la; around 85% of exhibitors are Aipad members. Executive director Lydia Melamed Johnson said the fair spans photography’s roughly 200-year history, from early plates to contemporary work shaped by artificial intelligence, with prices ranging from a few hundred dollars to rare works by figures such as Man Ray. Returning and first-time galleries include New York mainstays like Howard Greenberg Gallery and Yancey Richardson, plus newcomers such as Galerie Sophie Scheidecker (Paris) and Leica Gallery (New York).
