V&A Storehouse Workers Vote to Strike Over “Amazon-Style” Conditions
Unionized employees at the Victoria and Albert (V&A) East Storehouse voted unanimously on Wednesday, July 29, to strike over what they describe as “Amazon-style” working conditions. Prospect, the union representing the workers, said staff allege they were denied sufficient time for toilet breaks and drinks during the day. The union is demanding the museum provide two paid breaks per day, a request it says management has not adopted. The V&A East Storehouse is a publicly accessible museum storage site.
